Data Cleansing
As part of the import / export process data may require
extensive preprocessing. Data may need reformatting, or conversion
from one data type to another, or validation using lookup
tables or other reference sources to perform data substitutions.
Some data items may need to be removed altogether, or new
ones created, based on specific criteria. In circumstances
where real-time bi-directional data exchange is required,
the use of XML technology can provide a very effective data
transfer mechanism.
Migration Tools
A large majority of the application development we undertake
on behalf of clients involves some degree of data migration
/ data conversion. As a Consequence we now have a library
of proprietary data migration and conversion tools in addition
to third party utilities for automating any data import and
export procedures.
